Built and designed with friend and client Julian using red cedar lumber felled and milled in his backyard. The live-edge table top was flattened and finished to preserve grain and knots. Benches are fitted Baltic-birch storage boxes sized to fit the nook. The table mounts to removable flanges and a steel pipe-leg system for easy cleaning and reconfiguration. Design priorities were maximum under-seat storage, and a warm, tactile finish.
